Pick-Up VAT Reclaim
In April 2025, HMRC changed how double and extended cab pick-ups are classified for Benefit-in-Kind (BIK) tax and capital allowances, treating them as company cars. However, VAT rules remain unchanged.
If you run a VAT-registered business and your pick-up has a payload over one tonne (as all KGM Mussos do), you can still reclaim VAT in full and enjoy the £345 first-year VED road tax rate, exactly as before.

Electric Vehicle Tax and Cost Benefits

As a fully electric pickup, it benefits from significantly lower Benefit-in-Kind (BiK) rates, sitting at around 4% for the 2026/27 tax year. This is considerably lower than diesel alternatives, which can reach up to 37%, meaning company car drivers could pay from around £30 per month depending on their tax band.
The Musso EV also qualifies for the £2,500 Plug-in Van Grant, applied at the point of purchase to reduce the upfront cost. Combined with lower fuel costs per mile and reduced maintenance due to fewer moving parts, it offers a clear total cost of ownership advantage over a diesel pickup.
